Job DescriptionEstablished in 1960, Perimeter Aviation LP is a diversified company and a subsidiary of the Exchange Income Corporation, recently merged with Bearskin Airlines. With approximately 900 employees, we operate a fleet of 45+ aircraft, including Metro 2, 3, 23, Merlin and Dash 8, providing scheduled passenger and freight services across Northern Manitoba and Northern Ontario, 24/7 North American charter services, medical evacuation services, and a full‐service maintenance facility.Position SummaryReporting to the 703/704 Chief Pilot, Medevac Pilots transport thousands of passengers each year. Whether First Officer or Captain, the priority is to conduct each flight safely while maintaining on‐time performance and passenger comfort. confidentiality and accountabilityAble to handle stressful situations in a calm and effective mannerCustomer Service‐oriented with a commitment to exceptional serviceStrong problem solving and analytical skillsHigh level of respect, understanding and regard for First Nations communitiesKey Responsibilities and AccountabilitiesConduct flights with strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures, Canadian Aviation Regulations, Aircraft Flight Manual, and the Company Operations ManualPreflight calculations including:Completing the Operational Flight PlanWeather, NOTAMs, fuel and oil requirements, weight and balanceSigning and accepting the ManifestEnsuring the aeroplane pre‐flight inspection is completed before each departureLift, load and secure patients, cargo, baggage and freightAssist medical crew when required and appropriateEnsure passengers are briefed in accordance with the Standard Operating ProceduresComplete flight watch jointly with the flight dispatcher (Type B) and independently (Type C)Ensure all post‐flight duties are completed, including post‐flight aeroplane inspection, notification of the Company regarding aircraft whereabouts when away from base, recording flight times,
and reporting defectsActively participate in the Company's Safety Management SystemContinue to meet and exceed Transport Canada qualification standards for a pilotPerform additional duties as assignedMinimum Education, Experience and CertificationsHigh‐school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) equivalentCategory 1 MedicalCurrent Group 1 Instrument Rating1500 Hours Total Flight Time, with 500 Hours PICATPL for 703/704 Medevac CaptainsCanadian citizenship or unrestricted ability to work in CanadaFluent in English, with effective verbal and listening comprehensionObtain and maintain any applicable transportation security clearances and additional authorizationsChild Abuse Registry and Criminal Record check requiredThorough knowledge of aviation regulations requiredIndigenous and Cultural Awareness Training considered an assetValid passport requiredValid driver's licence requiredWorking ConditionsPhysically able to perform all listed job dutiesTravel by aircraft and other means as required by roleWork performed both indoors and outdoors; employee must be able to adapt to all outdoor weather conditionsMust be able to work a versatile schedule and travel for extended periodsAbility to lift, load and secure patients, cargo, baggage and freightWhen on scheduled shift, accommodation arranged in residence at remote base assigned to.
