As a Project Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving success and ensure seamless execution of the project's contractual requirements from start to finish. With your expertise, you will oversee the budget, coordinate project personnel, and maintain a production schedule that guarantees timely delivery and exceptional quality. Collaborate with industry experts and committed teams to align project goals with owner expectations, adhering to contract specifications and upholding the highest standards.What You Will Be DoingReview project contractual documents to gain an understanding of the project requirements (design, specifications, schedule, budget, safety, quality, and environmental requirements) necessary to complete the project within the required time frameLiaise and coordinate with the designer, technical department and client in all technical aspectsReview and understand project design, technical reports and background informationDevelop an execution plan that outlines construction staging and sequence, construction workplans, materials, equipment, subcontracting, and other services that are necessary to deliver the project on time and within budgetProvide technical assistance and recommend construction methods and equipmentManage quantity take offs, bill of quantities, estimating and develop scope of works related to the structural and civil scope.Lead project activities to ensure that the project is executed in accordance with the designs, budgets and schedules; take appropriate actionto minimize the impact of deviationsDevelop and manage client relationship and expectations, progress reports, communication, paperwork, meetings, etc.Monitor and oversee onsite activities, quality, productivity, progress,
and safety of employees and subcontractors and ensure implementation of all procedures and work plansAnticipate potential roadblocks and develop solutions to prevent issue from arising; resolve any problems that may arise during project executionImplement and monitor safety programsManage requests for information and issue field instructionsPrepare progress reportsPerform other duties as neededWhat We Are Looking ForBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering8+ years of experience working with a major contractor on large heavy civil and bridges projectsExperience with construction of current bridges (Rail and Road bridges)Experience in working within Railway corridors and understanding of rail corridor requirements and rail corridor work plan requirementsExperience with in-water works including familiarity with CLOCA requirements and planning construction activities within creeks or watercourses.Working knowledge of MTO and Ontario municipalities road construction standards and processes and knowledge of Ontario Provincial Standards and SpecificationsDemonstrated abilities in the management and leadership of multidisciplinary project teamsExperience successfully planning and executing projects on schedule and within budgetExperience working with programs including Excel, MS Projects, Word, Power Point and BluebeamExcellent technical, communication, organizational, managerial and planning skillsExcellent people and leadership skillsWhy work for usSome of the benefits you may be eligible for as an employee are:Comprehensive compensation package and paid time off programIndustry leading 401(k)/RRSPMedical/Extended Health Care, Dental, Vision and/or Provincial MedicalWellness benefits & Employee Assistance ProgramTuition Reimbursement ProgramWe are an EEO/ADA/Veterans employer.Salary MinCAD $140,000.00/Yr.Salary MaxCAD $180,000.00/Yr. #J-18808-Ljbffr
