Job TitlePlant ManagerReports ToGeneral ManagerNumber of Direct Reports7-12Position LocationAjax, ONJob SummaryThe Plant Manager oversees day‐to‐day plant operations, including safety policies, personnel, housekeeping, maintenance, production activities, customer requirements, planning and scheduling. The role is a member of the management leadership team, driving sales objectives, coaching direct reports, and aligning plant goals with WestRock's broader corporate objectives.Major Job ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and coordination of plant activities with department managers and shift supervisors to achieve manufacturing targets on time and cost‐effectively.Create and implement solutions that reduce lead times, improve product quality, enhance employee satisfaction, and increase profit margin.Distribute updated safety and quality standards to direct reports.Identify and communicate maintenance needs for machinery or tools.Collaborate with internal WestRock departments to deliver efficient customer care.Manage P&L to control manufacturing and conversion costs within budget.Develop operational forecasts and budgets to boost plant profitability.Monitor waste management to reduce costs and environmental impact.Maintain an effective safety plan and ensure program implementation.Champion continuous improvement and stay current with best practices.Coordinate support functions—finance, engineering, materials, quality assurance,
