What is the Chance?Reporting to the Area Lead (Sr Project Manager), the Project Manager will have the overall responsibility for the successful delivery and execution of defined segments of work within their scope. Their responsibilities include achieving our operational goals for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of Safety, Quality, Schedule, Cost. They will also lead development from design up to commissioning, scope/change management, budget management, risk and mitigation, organizational management (establish adequate resources to perform the work) and overall coordination of work groups (construction, safety, engineering, training, procurement, tooling, contracts management, project controls and key client stakeholders).What You'll Do Here:Get involved into design and constructability reviewDesign to construction overall sequence is developed, consistently maintained/updated, and regularly reviewed for accuracy from design release package to construction.Creation and implementation of Action/Recovery Plans to address any schedule performance issuesValidation and monitoring of project metrics (Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule) for assigned work segmentsProactively manage risk and mitigation across the board of PartnerAny resource constraints impacting planned work are identified and reportedAny potential changes to Work are identified and mitigation are co-developed between the partner per the project change management procedureEnsure all required materials and services have been identified and ordered, as well as any material delivery risks identified and action/recovery plans assignedTo accomplish the above, the Project Manager will lead a functional team comprised of representatives from all departments across the project organization.Responsible for implementing the project readiness process for design,



procurement up to manufacturing and construction executionAttends (or arranges representation for) and supports project planning meetings, including Readiness meetings, integration meetings, internal and customer reporting meetings, etc (as required)Responsible for coordination of prerequisite and execution task readiness – includes schedule and risk review meetings with construction management, supervision, engineering, quality, procurement and subcontractors to ensure logistics, execution strategy and schedule compliance are understood and achievable.Perform regular field tours to check work progress and meet with project site personnel.Carry out site safety inspections.Provide technical and commercial guidance to Site Superintendents and Project Coordinators.Review and approve purchasing requisitions, subcontracts, and invoice payments, within Limits of AuthorityParticipate in company-wide initiatives aimed at overall continuous improvementReview and approve timesheets, expense reports, vacation requests, and training requests, within Limits of Authority.Responsible for performance management of all direct-report employees, including: coaching/mentoring, assistance with career planning and training, preparation of yearly and mid-year performance reviews.Ensure all project staff and direct reports understand and comply with applicable code of conduct policies (company and customer policy).Plan and supervise the work of subcontractors and own forces on the project including determining methods of construction, manpower levels, material quantities,



equipment and work schedules.Assume responsibility for productivity of subtrades, efficient use of materials and equipment and contractual performance of the project.What You Bring to the Team:Minimum 5 years Project Management experience in a related role or Minimum 10 years construction and subcontractor supervision experience or equivalentManufacturing and/or Site construction experienceTeam Management and problem solving mind set with a significant Nuclear Scope background.Knowledge of INPO (Institute of Nuclear Power Operation) practices and principles and practice same is an assetMust have a full appreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs and their significance to the nuclear industryMust have the ability to handle all matters in a confidential and professional manner.Excellent organizational, communication and customer relationship skills.Great team coordination and 'work together' mind set.Extensive knowledge of project execution, financial operations, estimating and employee relations required.Requires proficient business development skills and an operations backgroundPrevious experience with Building Construction is preferredPay Range: $130,000 - $170,000 (CAD)Location: Bowmanville, ON, CAOperating Sector: NuclearWe strongly encourage applicants who identify as Indigenous to apply to work with us on the Darlington New Nuclear Project.
