Join the Faculty of Divinity at the University of Cambridge as an Assistant Professor in Second Temple Judaism beginning September 2024. Emphasizing undergraduate teaching and research, this position seeks scholars with expertise in biblical Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek.
The Faculty is looking for candidates with proven teaching experience and a solid potential for impactful research in Second Temple Judaism. You will lead undergraduate lessons, contribute to advanced biblical Hebrew education, and supervise graduate students. Your role will involve delivering engaging lectures, examining at various academic levels, and enhancing Jewish Studies across the Faculty.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver undergraduate teaching in Second Temple Judaism
• Design and lead MPhil classes and seminars
• Supervise MPhil and PhD students
• Conduct original research and publish findings
• Contribute to administrative tasks within the Faculty
Requirements:
• Expertise in biblical Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek
• Proven record of teaching experience
