Position SummaryAccountable for leasing commercial retail and some office projects, as well as portions thereof, towards the attainment of corporate objectives.Job TitleSenior Leasing ManagerReports To: VP, LeasingDepartment: LeasingResponsibilitiesLeasingPrepare, negotiate and consummate Lease Proposals, Offers to Lease and Leases in collaboration with and under the direction of the VP of Leasing; Monitor all existing tenancies and their expiration dates; negotiate and complete extension agreements in advance of maturities; Cold calling (canvassing prospective tenants) and preparation of Travel Logs; Oversee variousprojects to ensure completion and finalizing deals in a timely manner, reporting such information on a daily basis; Maintain and develop rapport with designated tenant accounts; Understand markets, projects, and sites thoroughly, including periodic site visits, regular market visits, coordinating proforma updates with analysts, and leasing site plan updates; Service national and / or regional accounts as assigned; Project management for assigned properties – visit, stay updated, provide input; Keep Vice President and SVP plus other stakeholders informed about tenant or project issues, and maintain leasing activity database; Provide input, strategies, and direction on current sites and vacancies with respect to feasibility and availability of leasing,



and monitor execution by leasing team members; Coordinate withconstruction department to ensure any lease work is satisfactory and timing requirements are met; Coordinate withproperty management to ensure sites are in good condition and devise improvement strategies; Monitor arrearsin each project managed property and assist in collections where possible; Maintain input for monthly reports to senior management, including vacancy and renewal reports.Academic/Professional RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Business, Planning, or related field.Required Skills/ExperienceMinimum 6 years of leasing experience in retail real estate leasing as the sole core responsibility.Minimum 3 years leasing directly for a landlord in Canada.Advanced negotiating skills with excellent oral and written communication, able to communicate across all levels, including external parties.Must own a personal vehicle and hold a valid driver's license.ValuesThe Senior Leasing Manager must client focused, advocate and communicate a positive image of the company, both internally and externally.
