Advance your career at Aecon as a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician based in Cambridge, Ontario. Your role focuses on equipment maintenance and repair in line with safety standards.
Reporting to the Service Manager, you will be performing repairs on various types of heavy-duty equipment, including drilling rigs and cranes. With a minimum of 5 years of experience and a Red Seal License, you’ll handle everything from diagnostics to hands-on repairs while ensuring adherence to the National Safety Code.
Key Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair heavy-duty equipment efficiently
• Conduct thorough inspections and maintenance tasks
• Operate machinery repair tools safely
• Use schematics for accurate repair work
• Propose enhancements to maintenance practices
Requirements:
• 5+ years of relevant experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
• Clean driving record with valid driver's license
• Familiarity with crane and piling equipment repairs
• Must comply with drug and alcohol testing
• Excellent physical fitness for heavy lifting tasks
