Our recent projects have included work on water control gates, large valves, turbines, penstocks and balance‐of‐plant systems—including piping, pumping, HVAC, and drainage. In addition, we work on moveable bridges, cranes, and large pumping systems for mining projects.The KCB mechanical group has enough experience to mentor career advancement but is small enough for a close‐knit team that regularly works together.Typical ProjectsDesign of recent hydroelectric facilitiesRefurbishments and upgrades to hydroelectric facilitiesDesign of large water control gatesConditions assessments of large gates and valvesDam safety and public safety reviewsHydroelectric facility auditsInspections and major maintenance of large port cranesSlurry transport systems and cyclones for domestic and international mining clientsConventional and custom mechanical designs and systems for large infrastructure projectsMarine and port facilitiesTypical ServicesMechanical design from concept to final designStructural and mechanical design of gates for water resource and hydroelectric projectsDevelopment of functional requirements for use by electrical staffPreparation of design deliverables (drawings, specs, estimates, schedules, reports, etc.)Site investigations and construction monitoringCondition assessments of existing equipmentUpgrades and refurbishment of existing installationsDesign of pumping systems, piping, heating, and ventilation systems for hydro and industrial clientsThis role will give you the opportunity toBe involved with designs of new or refurbishment of overall hydroelectric plantsWork on facility‐wide or major component refurbishments for hydroelectric plants,
