We share a common purpose – the drive to lead innovation in our industry and our global markets.Key Responsibilities:Understand design requirements including business needs, customer discussions, internal standards, and industry regulations and propose product definitionSolve technical problems including conflicting requirements, system reliability, cost constraints, and manufacturability challengesMitigate risks through failure mode analysis, risk assessment, design adjustments, and validation test planningEnsure machinery safety and electrical safety are addressed following North American and International standardsLead the design of complete designs for systems for automated machineryBring expertise in electrical design in the team -- power system sizing and protection, servo system selection and sizing, control circuit design, 3D modeling of electrical equipment and cables on the machine, and in cabinetsUtilize familiarity with controls, mechanical design, and machinery to leverage experts in each area of technical designGuide and review validation testing and incorporate lessons learned into future product development designsLead and participate in team design reviews and check design documentation before releaseEnsure timely preparation of manufacturing documentation including bills of materials, assembly drawings, part and cable fabrication drawings, wire preparation schedules, and work instructionsSupport assembly, testing, and installation,



and refine designs based on lessons learnedDrive improvements in electrical detailing practices to improve efficiency and output qualityRequired Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringExpert at performing and validating electrical design calculationsFamiliarity with machinery controls, mechanical design, and injection molding machineryProven leadership in product development in machinery automationExperience solving technical problems, including reliability10+ years of product development experience in machinery automationAdditional Qualifications:Understanding of electrical system troubleshooting, manufacturing, and assembly processesExperience with circuit design, drafting, and detailing techniques (EPLAN preferred)Experience with electrical cabinet layout design, modeling, and detailing techniques (NX preferred)Experience selecting and sizing various components (sensors, breakers, contactors, cables, connectors, servo systems, safety equipment)Ability to travel occasionallyHusky Technologies TM offers a competitive compensation and benefits package and excellent opportunities for growth and advancement.
