The Senior Transmission Line Project Engineer can be located with any of our Power Delivery teams located in our Ontario or Quebec offices. WSP is a leader in the delivery of clean energy and Power sector solutions to meet the increasing demand for safe, secure, and sustainable energy for Canadians which requires a substantial expansion of the electricity transmission network. In this senior role, you will help bring WSP's vast expertise, experience, and innovation to support our clients, utilities, and communities in the transformation to a recent energy future.Your ImpactLead technical aspects of transmission line design projects (34.5kV–500kV), including new lines, relocations, rebuilds, upgrades, structure replacements, and fiber optic additionsPrepare and review design deliverables, such as plan and profile drawings, material selection, and construction specificationsConduct quality reviews of internal and subcontractor deliverablesManage and prioritize multiple projects within budget and time constraintsEvaluate technical options, criteria, and routes for design meritApply knowledge of construction standards for high voltage line workCoordinate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure client satisfactionAct as Technical Project Management Lead and maintain strong client relationshipsManage project reporting, invoicing, accounts receivable, and unbilled workDevelop and monitor scope, schedules, and budgets against plan and contractsEnsure adherence to budget, schedule, and quality requirementsServe as primary liaison between client and project team; understand client interestsProactively identify challenges and implement solutions for project successProvide leadership and mentoring to the project teamTravel to client offices, field sites,
