The Services Application Engineer is a senior technical role within the Services Engineering team, responsible for delivering advanced power system solutions across the full project lifecycle—from opportunity development and tendering to execution and customer support.This role works closely with Sales, Tendering, Ecofit, Project Managers, and Service teams to define, design, and deliver electrical distribution, automation, and digital power solutions that meet customer requirements and industry standards.ResponsibilitiesLead engineering and design activities for power system projects, with a focus on brownfield upgradesDevelop and deliver electrical distribution and control system designs that meet customer and industry requirementsPrepare technical reports, studies, recommendations, and mitigation strategiesCollaborate with Sales and Tendering teams to support technical proposals, cost estimates, and client presentationsEngage directly with customers to assess needs, define solutions, and act as a trusted technical advisorEnsure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and internal engineering guidelinesProvide technical expertise, guidance, and quality assurance throughout project executionSupport opportunity development and technical qualification activitiesContribute to consulting and digital service offerings such as power system studies, digital twin, power quality analysisBuild and maintain strong client relationships, supporting lifecycle services such as upgrades, maintenance, and optimizationWork closely with multidisciplinary teams, including project managers, contractors,



and consultantsTravel within Canada as required to support customer engagements and project deliveryEducation & CertificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Science, or a related fieldProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility in CanadaExperience10+ years of progressive experience in power systems engineeringRecognized expertise in one or more of the following areas:Power SystemsDigital Power/Power QualityAutomation & ControlExperience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams on medium to large-scale projectsProven ability to independently manage complex technical scopesExperience supporting technical sales, proposals, and customer presentationsTechnical KnowledgeStrong background in engineering design, system studies, and technical documentationExperience with vendor evaluation and procurement supportFamiliarity with power system analysis tools such as ETAP and SKM is preferredProficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe AcrobatSkills & CompetenciesStrong customer‐focused mindset with the ability to develop practical, innovative solutionsExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong analytical and problem‐solving abilities with attention to detailAbility to collaborate effectively with cross‐functional teamsProven ability to build and maintain client relationships in a rapid‐paced environmentBilingual (English/French)
