French is an asset (but not mandatory).ResponsibilitiesExamine, diagnose, and treat illnesses, injuries, and diseases in small animals (dogs, cats, and small mammals).Perform surgical procedures including spays, neuters, soft tissue, and dental surgeries.Administer vaccines, medications, and preventive treatments.Provide emergency and urgent care services as needed.Advise clients on animal nutrition, behaviour, and preventive health care.Maintain detailed and accurate medical and client records.Supervise veterinary technicians and support staff.Ensure compliance with provincial veterinary standards and regulations.Perform and interpret diagnostic tests such as bloodwork, radiographs, and ultrasounds to determine the nature of illness or injury.Implement infection control and biosecurity protocols to protect both animal and public health.Report notifiable diseases to public health officials in accordance with regulatory standards.Promote animal health within the community through education and outreach initiatives.Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations, controlled substance standards, and animal welfare legislation.QualificationsDoctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.Eligibility (or already licensed)
