A career within Delivering Deal Value (DDV) will provide you with the opportunity to help clients achieve maximum value on their deal transactions by solving transformational and other complex challenges. We focus on all operational aspects of a transaction – pre‐and post‐close – including pre‐deal and functional due diligence, enterprise‐wide integrations, and complex divestitures, carve‐outs and separations. Our work spans across a wide range of functional and cross‐functional areas, within diverse sectors and industries. As a DDV Senior Manager, you will join a agile team of problem solvers dedicated to helping clients navigate complex business challenges from strategy through execution. You will play a central role in driving value across the full deal lifecycle, partnering with other competencies with PwC's Deals line of business to serve clients in delivering measurable results in high‐stakes transactions.The OpportunityOur team assists Corporate, Private Equity and Pension Fund clients in their acquisition, integration and divestiture activity. This team supports clients in all operational aspects of a deal, pre‐ and post‐completion, including:Buy‐ and sell‐side functional due diligence (e.G., Operations, HR, Tech, Cyber)Post‐acquisition integration planning and executionCarve‐out and separation planning and execution, including standalone cost analysisSynergy identification, planning, tracking and executionResponsibilitiesYour responsibilities as a Senior Manager will include, but are not limited to:Manage multiple projects across various value‐creation mandates and lead teams to successful executionDevelop and execute integration and separation strategiesManage multiple project‐level stakeholders across functions to ensure ongoing project alignment and client satisfactionBuild specific industry experience to deepen expertise in targeted sectorsLead functional and cross‐functional delivery teams to execute plans, monitor progress, and achieve deal objectives and value‐creation targetsProvide delivery teams with input, insight, observations and recommendations based on analysis, planning and execution to enhance deliverable qualityProvide hands‐on support to delivery teams in functional due diligence, integration and carve‐out mandates,
structural and operational improvementsProactively manage scope of work and project risks, acting as quality control for quantitative and qualitative analysis and overall deliverablesManage delivery team utilization, project‐specific budgets and support administrators in timely and efficient client billingSupport business development and pursuit activities to drive sales and revenueSupport DDV leadership with firm‐building activities such as talent development and performance managementCoach and develop team members, fostering growth and professional evolution within the firmAs part of the transaction process, the DDV team rapidly develops a deep understanding of the target or client business to identify and assess key operational issues, synergies, risks and value‐creation opportunities surrounding each transaction.What You'll BringWe are looking for a candidate who brings the following experience and capabilities:A track record of functioning as a trusted advisor at the highest levels of client organizations, grounded in deep competency in value creation, integrations and separationsDemonstrated experience providing strategic advice and support to senior management, with extensive knowledge of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures – including pre‐deal functional due diligence, integration planning, separation planning, standalone costing, synergy and cost‐savings analysis, and post‐close transformationProven experience managing large, complex programs (e.G., global, multi‐functional engagements) with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders across functions to deliver against deal objectivesWorking knowledge of key functional areas such as HR, IT, Finance, Operations and Sales & MarketingExperience in one or more industry sectors, including Financial Services, Telecom, Consumer Products, Energy,
Industrials and InfrastructureExtensive ability to develop and manage strategic client relationships while consistently delivering the highest quality work across multiple concurrent client projectsStrong capability in developing both quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex data combined with exceptional critical thinking skills to support recommendations and decision‐makingExperience leading business development and pursuit activities, both internally with client pursuit teams and externally through client‐facing meetings and proposal discussionsProven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management responsibilities and to manage teams through complex engagements, including managing multiple engagements simultaneouslyA drive to embrace AI to bring innovation, efficiency and differentiation to clients, with a desire to continuously upskill for a digital worldA demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring that diverse perspectives are heard and integratedWillingness to travel within Canada and internationally, as requiredThis position ensures continuity and upholds our standards of excellence following the departure of a valued team member.Salary RangeThe salary range for this position is $150,000 – $200,000. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs designed to reward individual and firm‐wide achievements.
