Relocation assistance is not available for this position at this time.ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Customer & Technical Training Specialist at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll contribute to developing and delivering high-quality training programs that support our customers and internal teams. You'll create educational content and support training initiatives across our product portfolios, from analytical instruments to laboratory solutions. In this collaborative environment, you'll work with cross-functional teams to design and implement comprehensive training strategies that enhance customer experience and drive success. This role combines technical expertise with facilitation skills to deliver learning solutions through multiple modalities, including workshops, virtual sessions, and e-learning platforms.RequirementsAdvanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of experience in technical training, product management, or customer education rolesPreferred Fields of Study: Chemistry, Engineering, Biology, or related scientific/technical fieldInstructional design or adult education certifications beneficialTrain-the-trainer certification advantageousTechnical knowledge of relevant product lines (e.G., chromatography, mass spectrometry,
electron microscopy)Experience developing and delivering both technical and soft-skills training programsStrong facilitation and presentation skills for both in-person and virtual environmentsProficiency in e-learning development tools (e.G., Articulate 360, Camtasia, Brainshark)Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)Project management capabilities and ability to coordinate cross-functional initiativesStrong communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts clearlyAbility to create engaging training materials and documentationProficiency in Microsoft Office suite and content creation toolsExperience in regulated environments (e.G., pharmaceutical, biotechnology) preferredAbility to travel up to 30-50% as requiredStrong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with teamsSelf-directed with organizational and time management abilitiesFluency in English required; additional languages beneficialCompensation and BenefitsThe salary range estimated for this position based in California is $101,300.00–$151,925.00.This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
