Help us raise the expectation of what an agriculture company can be and grow your career with Nutrien.What You'll DoPrepare Canadian income tax filings and remittancesPrepare monthly, quarterly, and year‐end tax provisions and working papers as required, including budgeting and forecastingEnsure follow up of notice of assessments and investigate any discrepancies including preparation and recording of adjusting journal entriesResearch technical issues regarding corporate income tax mattersSupport the team on all federal or provincial audits, including gathering information, addressing incoming correspondence, and drafting responses to audit queriesAssist with the completion of Scientific Research & Experimental Development claims including preparation of supporting working papersAssist in the preparation of management fee allocations and other intercompany reporting as requiredMaintain knowledge with respect to technical tax issues and accounting standardsIdentify process automation opportunities and implement technology solutions.
Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processComply with company standards, policies, controls, and procedures pertaining to appropriate conduct for employeesOther duties as assignedWhat You'll BringBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related fieldCPA or equivalent professional accounting designation requiredMinimum 6+ years of experience in Canadian Corporate income taxA strong preference will be given to candidates who have commenced the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Program and who have working knowledge of Canadian corporate taxation; however, individuals interested in pursuing the In-Depth Tax Program will be consideredExperience with ERP systems (i.E.
