The Director, Tribunal Modernization will lead a multi-year agenda to strengthen administrative tribunal services by improving accessibility, timeliness, fairness, operational efficiency, and digital service delivery while protecting procedural fairness, privacy, records integrity, and tribunal independence.This is an opportunity to shape a modern tribunal operating model that supports better service outcomes, builds confidence in administrative justice processes, and advances public-sector priorities through disciplined delivery, collaboration, innovation, and evidence-based decision-making.Role ResponsibilitiesReporting as a senior leader, you will provide strategic direction and oversight for a multi-year modernization agenda. You will lead the integration of people, processes, policy, and technology to deliver sustainable improvements and advance client-centred, digitally enabled tribunal services.Leading tribunal modernization strategies, initiatives, and implementation plans.Driving process redesign and service improvements to enhance accessibility, timeliness, and operational effectiveness.Establishing governance, performance measures, and reporting frameworks to support successful delivery.Collaborating with tribunal leaders, ministry partners, legal experts, and technology teams to achieve integrated outcomes.Supporting policy, legislative, and operational changes required to enable modernized services.Leading stakeholder engagement and change management activities that support adoption and long-term sustainability.Promoting a culture of innovation, continuous improvement,

in addition to:Minimum six years of progressively responsible related experienceSignificant senior leadership experience leading complex projects, organizational change, and strategic initiatives.Demonstrated experience fostering innovation and continuous improvement.Equivalency: Directly related education and experience may be considered on the basis of: 1 year of education for 1 year of experience or 1 year of experience for 1 year of educationThe following will be considered as AssetsExperience in a quasi-judicial tribunal, appeal board, or administrative justice environment.Knowledge of legislation, governance, policy development, and public-sector operations.Experience with digital transformation, performance measurement, and large-scale change initiatives.Notes: This position will require some travel. One (1) full time permanent position available. 36.25 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday. Location: Commerce Place Building, 10155-102 Street, Edmonton.Final candidates will be required to undergo a criminal records check (CRC).Any costs associated with obtaining the required documents/checks as noted or interview travel expenses, will be the responsibility of the candidate.
