Beyond delivery, you will hold full financial accountability for project performance—overseeing budgets, forecasts, margins, and commercial risk to ensure predictable outcomes and robust business returns. Acting as a trusted advisor to clients and an accountable leader within Stantec, you will drive alignment between technical excellence, resource optimization, and financial performance, ensuring projects are not only delivered successfully but contribute meaningfully to the overall profitability and growth of the business.We will manage highly complex multidisciplinary teams spanning architecture, buildings engineering, environmental sciences, civil infrastructure, and other specialized disciplines—ensuring seamless collaboration across all phases of delivery. These projects demand not only technical coordination but a deep understanding of how diverse expertise converges to deliver cohesive, high‐performing outcomes. The work you lead will leave a lasting mark on communities across Canada, shaping critical infrastructure and built environments that will serve generations—requiring thoughtful leadership, long‐term thinking, and a commitment to delivering solutions that are sustainable, resilient, and impactful well into the future.We'll oversee a high‐performing team of Project Managers, Coordinators, Controllers, Analysts, and Schedulers who manage Stantec's largest multidisciplinary projects. This position can be located in any Stantec location in Canada with a Buildings presence.Your Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership across a portfolio of major, multidisciplinary projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives, project requirements, and business performance targetsServe as a senior advisor to project teams and leadership, supporting decision‐making related to delivery strategy, commercial considerations, and risk management across complex programsAccountable for achieving project scope, schedule, budget, and contractual obligations on large‐scale projects,



ensuring consistent and successful delivery outcomesLead and support integrated teams across architecture, engineering, and project controls functions to deliver coordinated and high‐quality project executionCollaborate with Regional Major Projects Leads, project teams, and corporate partners (risk management, legal, finance, insurance) to support contract requirements, manage project risks, and resolve complex issuesOversee development and review of major project proposals, including scope definition, fee development, delivery approach, and commercial considerationsParticipate in project governance activities, including contributing to project reviews and supporting effective oversight of major project performanceMaintain strong client relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and a clear understanding of client needs and expectationsFacilitate coordination with key stakeholders including clients, contractors, and subconsultants to support aligned and successful project deliveryMonitor project performance and support teams in addressing challenges related to cost, schedule, quality, and riskManage financial and operational aspects of projects, including monitoring project financials, managing budgets, revenue recognition, invoicing, and collections, and translating data into insights to support informed decision‐making and overall project performanceIdentify and share lessons learned, contributing to the continuous improvement of project delivery practicesMentor and support the development of project team members, providing guidance and sharing experience across major project teamsYour Capabilities and CredentialsExtensive experience managing large, complex projects with accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and overall performanceStrong understanding of project delivery models, including Design‐Build, P3, IPD, and other collaborative delivery approachesDemonstrated experience in contract administration, commercial management,



and supporting resolution of project‐related challengesAbility to provide guidance and support to multidisciplinary project teams across complex, high‐value projectsKnowledge of project controls, including cost management, scheduling, forecasting, and performance monitoringDemonstrated leadership capability with experience working across large, integrated project teamsExcellent communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients, project teams, and internal stakeholdersStrong analytical and problem‐solving skills, with the ability to support decision‐making in complex project environmentsWell‐developed organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage competing prioritiesCollaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams, regions, and disciplinesPossess a valid driver's license with a good driving recordAbility to travel up to 25%Security clearance eligibility is a must for this position.
