We are seeking a Senior Transportation Engineer - Project Manager to join our Transportation Infrastructure team in a full-time, hybrid position based at any of our Ontario offices. Reporting to the Discipline Lead, you will provide technical and design leadership on preliminary and detailed transportation engineering projects for MTO and local municipalities. In this role, you will direct multidisciplinary project teams, maintain client relationships, and lead business development efforts to ensure successful project delivery.This is a new position and can be based at any one of our following offices: Ottawa, Kingston, Toronto, Vaughn, Oakville, Hamilton, London, Kitchener, Chatham, or Windsor. Because we are an employee-owned firm, your voice will be an essential part of our shared success.ResponsibilitiesProject Management & DesignManagement of transportation engineering projects and multidisciplinary project teams (including transportation, bridge, electrical, drainage, environmental planners, environmental scientists, technical support staff, etc.)Continuous development of technical expertise on a variety of transportation engineering projects, environmental assessments, preliminary design, detailed design and construction phase servicesLead the preparation of technical reports and studies to support the development of transportation designs,



including EA documentationLead the preparation of contract documentation, including contract drawings, construction specifications, tender quantity and cost estimates, and working day estimatesManagement and delivery of stakeholder consultation programs and municipal council and agency presentationsProvide regular and effective communication with clients, develop and oversee project budgets and take overall responsibility for successful project deliveryBusiness DevelopmentPrepare estimates and project proposalsTake a leading role in maintaining the MTO client relationshipIdentify and develop new business opportunities, in collaboration with other projects managersContribute to the leadership of the Transportation Facilities GroupBusiness travel for project meetings and to other Dillon offices upon request.Learning & DevelopmentCommit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional developmentInput to the career development of junior and intermediate staff, including technical direction, training recommendations, coaching and mentoringContribute to Dillon's corporate profile through active participation in skilled associations and committees.QualificationsA degree in civil engineeringLicensed to practice as a professional engineer in the province of OntarioA minimum of 10 years related work experienceProven leadership and business development capabilities.ExperienceProven experience with the MTO / MEA environmental assessment process, and preliminary/detailed design of linear roadway infrastructure.Previous experience with alternative project delivery models.Demonstrated abilities in the management and leadership of multidisciplinary project teams.Exceptional abilities in project management.Proven skills in public and agency consultation.Proficiency using Microsoft Applications (Teams, Word, Excel, etc.) and Google Suite.Strong verbal and writing skills, including experience in the preparation of technical memos and reports.Compensation$110,150 - $160,150At Dillon, we believe in transparency. The following salary range is what we expect to offer for this position.



It will be dependent on the successful applicant's education, experience, and skills, in addition to internal equity and geographic region.
