Join our team and be part of something extraordinary.ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYNL Health Services – Eastern Urban Zone invites applications for a full‐time Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist with the Mental Health and Addictions Program in St. John's, NL.The successful candidate will join an established group of Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists working within multidisciplinary teams of the Mental Health and Addictions Program,
collaborating extensively with pediatricians within the Children and Women's Health Program.Consultation and cooperative care to Eastern Health facilities including the Tuckamore Residential Treatment CentreInpatient and outpatient child and youth mental health services within the hospital and the expanding local communityPsychiatric assessment and treatment of patients up to the age of 18Participation in the Child & Adolescent Psychiatry on‐call systemInterests in shared care, medical quality and efficiency, program development, administrative responsibilities, and clinical teaching are considered assets.WORK ENVIRONMENTSt. John's is a vibrant, historic city on the eastern tip of North America, offering a warm and welcoming community, a thriving arts and culture scene, and easy access to the stunning natural landscapes of the Avalon Peninsula — including whale watching, hiking, and some of the most dramatic coastlines in Canada.QUALIFICATIONSMedical Degree (MD) from a recognized institutionFRCPC (or equivalent) in Psychiatry with subspecialty certification in Child & Adolescent PsychiatryEligible for licensure (full or provisional)
