The Law Society of Ontario is seeking a visionary Chief Information and Innovation Officer to lead one of the province's most important public-interest organizations through a transformative period of digital modernization. Reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a key member of the Executive Committee, this is a rare opportunity to shape how technology, innovation, data, cybersecurity, and customer service enable the future of legal regulation in Ontario.

As the regulator of lawyers and paralegals in Ontario, the Law Society plays a critical role in protecting the public, supporting access to justice, and maintaining confidence in the legal system. The successful candidate will lead enterprise-wide technology and service transformation initiatives that strengthen regulatory effectiveness, improve client experiences, and position the organization to respond to an increasingly digital and rapidly evolving environment.

Working closely with the Executive Team and business leaders across the organization, the CIIO will accelerate major platform modernization initiatives, strengthen cybersecurity and technology governance, advance the use of data and analytics to support decision-making, enhance customer service delivery, and identify practical applications for emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence and automation. The successful candidate will also foster stronger alignment between technology investments and organizational priorities, ensuring measurable value, operational effectiveness, and an improved experience for both internal and external stakeholders.

This role calls for a strategic executive who can balance innovation with stewardship. You will oversee enterprise technology, digital platforms, data and analytics, cybersecurity, customer service operations,



and business improvement functions while championing a modern, client‑centred approach to service delivery. You will guide major platform modernization efforts, leverage emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence and automation, and ensure technology investments create meaningful value for both the organization and the public it serves.

The ideal candidate is an accomplished technology and transformation leader with experience operating at the executive level within a complex, highly regulated, public‑sector, or mission‑driven setting. You bring a proven track record of leading large‑scale digital transformation, building high‑performing teams, and advising senior executives and governing bodies on technology strategy, risk, and innovation. Equally important, you possess the judgment, credibility, and communication skills required to translate complex technical issues into clear business and governance insights.
