Position OverviewThe Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA) and the University of Manitoba, Department of Ophthalmology, invite applications for a full‐time, permanent Glaucoma Ophthalmologist.This position includes an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Job duties are performed in English.About the DepartmentThe University of Manitoba's Department of Ophthalmology has a long‐standing history of:Delivering outstanding patient‐centered ophthalmic careConducting collaborative clinical and translational researchEducating and training future ophthalmologistsThe department currently supports:Seven residents in the Ophthalmology residency training programSubspecialty fellowship trainingMultiple faculty members actively engaged in clinical research and quality improvement initiativesQualificationsThe successful candidate must:Hold a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree with specialization in OphthalmologyHave completed formal subspecialty training in GlaucomaBe eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of CanadaBe eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (CPSM)Demonstrated experience and robust interest in teaching residents and medical studentsExperience with Competence by Design (CBD) will be given preferenceExcellent surgical and diagnostic skills are requiredCompensationCompensation is derived from fee‐for‐service income. #J-18808-Ljbffr
