The incumbent will assist in the development and implementation of Electrical Engineering policies and procedures, liaise directly with other department personnel to ensure project goals are met on budget, while delivering the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture.What You'll Do HereRecognize problems, initiate action, assist in problem solving, and evaluate results on major hardware design issues prior to releasing drawings to manufacturingReview and approve all project designs and that the designs meet the Eclipse high standards of quality, reliability, and safetyDevelop and coordinate project designs within the Electrical Engineering teamEnsure concepts meet Eclipse Automation quality, safety, and reliability standardsGuide, direct, teach, assist, and advise department staff on practical design practices and standardsAssist resources in the department in their development through coaching and mentoringGuide, organize, and coordinate assigned staff to prioritize project deliveryLead the hardware design project team to ensure project contract deliverables are metWork to specific project budgets and milestones provided by project managementPromote positive relations with partners, customers, vendors,
and distributorsLiaise between all departments to ensure on time delivery of purchased items and on time delivery of Eclipse machinery and equipmentPromote environmentally and ergonomically safe conceptual product and/or processes to ensure safety of Eclipse personnel and the customer's employeesInitiate and supervise the planning and development of project electrical and controls designs and order any required department materialsEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc. Conduct CodeProject ExecutionAct as the point-of-contact for the Project Management department for all for assigned projectsUpdate project completion with respect to weekly confirmation of critical milestones, labour hours, material budget, and percent complete on projectEnsure scheduled milestones are met and elevate to Project Management if a milestone is at riskUpdate Open Issues List as requiredAssist in performance reviewsAssume full responsibility for hardware design scope of assigned projectsEnsure that Company ISO Standards are followedEnsure project tasks are entered correctly and promptly for accurate man hour records for Project Management departmentRespond to CARs issued to the department, as requestedWhat We're Looking ForHas successfully completed either a University Degree or College Diploma in Electrical, Systems, or Mechatronics, or Robotics Automation TechnologyMust have intermediate level experience with EPLAN and AutoCAD and be proficient with MS OfficeExperience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls,
