Challenging work, welcoming communities, and expanded opportunities are some of the perks offered to employees of the NTHSSA.Job InformationBased in Yellowknife, the Territorial Specialist Autism Disorder collaborates and consults with regional and community teams to provide family and patient centered care, for individuals who have suspected or diagnosed ASD, to all 33 NWT communities. The incumbent will monitor the delivery of the individual 's intervention plan and act as a resource for best practice ASD interventions to families, rehabilitation teams and other service providers.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstanding of and clinical expertise in the delivery of evidence-based rehabilitation services specializing in the field of ASD.Knowledge of neurobiology, child and adolescent development, behaviours and learning.Knowledge of community resources, policies and procedures of NTHSSA and Department of Health and Social Services and all Acts and Legislation applicable to the program delivery.Knowledge of and ability to operate word processing applications (e.G. Microsoft Word) to complete training materials and presentations,
