Role and Facility InformationThe Department of Medicine at Eagle Ridge Hospital (ERH) is recruiting one general internist skilled in the management of complex inpatients. Responsibilities will include a combination of clinical care, teaching, and quality improvement, with the mix of responsibilities depending on the successful candidate's background and job profile. Competitive candidates will possess outstanding clinical, communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills that enable them to work collaboratively with other physicians, learners, hospital staff and administrators.ResponsibilitiesThe new Internist hired will join the two existing physicians in running an established High Acuity Unit / Monitored Care Unit (MCU). Responsibilities will include both recent consults and MRP rounding. The Internist should be comfortable with critical care skills to cover the MCU, cardiology to cover telemetry patients and general internal medicine.



The average call will see 3–5 new patients per day and include 12–15 patients to round on. The MCU Internist will also staff the IM Rapid Access Clinic (RAC); all RAC overhead, including office space and MOA, is covered by the hospital.
