You will lead a team to develop, formulate, and execute strategies including assortment planning, shelving recommendations, floor planning, and best in class recommendations across 4Ps for the pet category. This position is an existing vacancy.A day in the lifeYou are a subject matter expert with the pet category and up to date with industry trendsActively develop and manage relationships with retail partners across all levels of the organizationPassionate about storytelling, evaluating market trends and customer behaviourDrive strategic recommendations for customers thorough category review and analysis of 4P's: Price, Presence, Placement, and PromotionSkilled in developing assortment strategies and future state planograms recommendationsActs as the "store-level" and Industry expert for our customers through continual retail visits and analysis of industry resourcesCreate and build fact-based tools, scorecards, and presentations to provide category insights to customerChallenge existing strategies and concepts, increase current knowledge base and insight through testing of new ideasApply and refines category management practices and processesRole Requirements5+ years of experience in Category Management/Insights or Key Account Sales in CPG industryCompletion of a University Degree in Business Administration with a focus on sales or marketingBroad knowledge of CPG industry sources and uses, vendors and their tools syndicated sales data, Nielsen, space management software (JDA), retail POS portals (Retail Link, LDIA,
IRI), and shoppers' insight is required.Planograms building expertise, JDA space planning experience is an asset.Effective communication and management skills are required to express analytics and deliver presentations to various levels within the organization and externally to customers.Proficient in gathering data and storytelling to deliver actionable insights and effectively communicating them to both retailers and internal teams through compelling narratives.Experience in people management and people development is an asset.BenefitsAt Nestle Canada, we are committed to transparency and fairness in our compensation and job posting practices.
