Our employee relationship managers support you throughout your engagement, providing career guidance and reemployment assistance.Our client is currently seeking a qualified Enterprise Business Architect to join their team onsite in Ottawa, ON.Duties And ResponsibilitiesDeveloping the Business Architecture strategies aligned with the Enterprise visionCollaborating with stakeholders to capture business needs and justify Enterprise investmentsAiding in the maturing of EA governance including policies, procedures, and organizational structuresDeveloping business capabilities, process models, metrics and value streamsProviding leadership and guidance to EA, stakeholders and practitionersIdentify and guide people, processes and technology requirements to operationalize the operating modelsConduct an assessment of relevant current business architecture, processes and performance as it relates to the assigned projectsReview existing documentation that may include, road maps, project descriptions, system documentation, business and functional requirements, "as-is" business processes and architecture documentsDocument the "as-is" business architecture to be used as a baseline and to identify root-cause of critical business issuesConfirm the scope and requirement of the business architecture practiceApply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the business unit in the context of the enterpriseDetermine framework and approach to document the business architectureDefine and document the architectural views identified for future stateEnsure consistency and integration with the organizations and government architectures, strategic goals and business strategiesIdentify appropriate tools and techniques to be used for modelling and analysisEvaluate the feasibility of the architecture and technologies related to a current business change, assist in the prioritization and design of improvements from an architectural perspectiveCapture the tactical and strategic business goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governanceDescribe the primary business functions of the assigned business unit in the context of the enterprise and distinguish between customer-facing, supplier-related, business execution and business management functionsEnumerate, analyze, catalogue and suggest improvements to the strategic, core and support processes of the business unit, as needed, to support strategic and operational goalsEnumerate, analyze and suggest improvements to the structural relationships of the business. This requires the creation and maintenance of an ongoing model of roles, capabilities and business units, the decomposition of those business units into subunits, and the interplay between these units in various business processes, materials, people, and systemsDetermine the architectural artefacts required to be created, maintained and stored aligning business architecture artefacts with IT architecture artefactsPerform business analysis of functional requirements to identify information, processes,



and procedures in order to ensure system and manual processes are documented in an integrated mannerIdentify risks and mitigation strategies associated with the existing or proposed architecture and technologiesConduct gap analysis on business processes and recommend action plansAdvising senior management on business architecture methods and practice, coaching and mentoring staff and making recommendations on changes to improve operational performanceProvide expert advice in developing and integrating processes and information models between processes to eliminate information and process redundancies and address gapsTransfer functional and technical knowledge to the project team and client staff through individual and group training, coaching, demonstrations, written instructions and documents on an ongoing basis throughout the life of the projectSkills And QualificationsUniversity undergraduate degree or diploma in Computer Science or Engineering or Ten (10) years of progressive experience in ITCertifications such as TOGAF, BIZBOK, or equivalentA minimum of ten years' experience leading enterprise-wide architecture strategy, governance, and roadmap developmentA minimum of ten years' experience designing integrated solutions aligned with enterprise standards and business needsA minimum of ten years' experience mapping business capabilities and processes to strategic objectives and IT investmentsMinimum of ten years' experience working across business and IT domains, bridging strategy and executionMinimum of ten years' experience leading or contributing to enterprise transformation initiatives, including digital transformation, operating model redesign, or strategic alignmentThe compensation is accurate as of the date of this posting.
