Working at the intersection of engineering, architecture, manufacturing, and construction, you will help develop scalable, high-performance building solutions that improve constructability, accelerate project delivery, and support the future of sustainable construction.Position SummaryThe Product Manager & Technologist will lead the development of innovative building products from concept through design, engineering, manufacturing, and implementation. This individual will work closely with internal teams, manufacturing partners, consultants, and industry stakeholders to develop practical, commercially viable solutions that improve product performance, manufacturability, and construction efficiency. The ideal candidate combines strong engineering or architectural expertise with product development experience and a passion for innovation in manufacturing and industrialized construction.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct DevelopmentLead the development of new products and building systems from concept through production.Develop product specifications, technical documentation, and design requirements.Translate customer and market needs into practical engineering solutions.Identify opportunities to improve product performance, manufacturability, cost, and scalability.Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing products and systems.Design & EngineeringDevelop conceptual designs and detailed engineering solutions.Prepare technical specifications, material selections, cost estimates, and construction documentation.Coordinate product development through design, prototyping, manufacturing, testing,
and implementation.Contribute to the development of proprietary products, prototypes, and intellectual property.Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, standards, and engineering best practices.Project & Technical LeadershipCollaborate with clients, consultants, manufacturing partners, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.Coordinate third‐party consultants, engineers, architects, and technical specialists.Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance throughout project execution.Support construction activities and field reviews when required to ensure compliance with design intent.Assist with project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and technical decision‐making.Manufacturing & IndustrializationWork closely with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes.Evaluate materials, fabrication methods, and assembly techniques.Support the integration of product design with manufacturing capabilities.Promote design‐for‐manufacturing (DFM) principles and industrialized construction methodologies.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceDegree in Engineering, Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline.Minimum of 10 years of experience in product development, engineering, architecture, or construction.Skilled registration (P.Eng., Registered Architect, or equivalent) with the ability to approve and seal designs where applicable.Experience leading multidisciplinary product development initiatives.Technical SkillsStrong understanding of building science, building systems, and modern construction methods.Experience with industrialized construction, modular construction,
