Job Title: Nuclear Subject Matter Expert (SME)Location: Cambridge, ON | On-siteJob Type: Full-TimeCompensation: $150,000 - $180,000Benefits: RRSP, health/dental/vision package, reimbursement for tuition and professional dues, paid vacation, personal days, and sick days.The PositionThe Subject Matter Expert will provide support on a portfolio of projects within a defined sector of the Eclipse business. The Subject Matter Expert will leverage extensive sector specific experience and ensure all equipment and services provided by Eclipse meet and exceed customer expectations. The incumbent will work with the management team and plant personnel to deliver the Eclipse Vision and the Eclipse Entrepreneurial Culture on time and on budget.What You'll Do Here:Technical:Regularly review overall project status and open issues identified through the escalation process, and lead implementation of recovery plans as necessaryProvide oversight to Project Engineers and Designers in the development and completion of all technical deliverables, including direct involvement in design verification/validation processMonitor overall health of assigned portfolio, ensuring sustainable growth and profitability is achieved and maintainedInterfacing with key decision makers of customer, ensures a common understanding of ongoing project status and proactively addresses any quality, schedule, or cost concernsIdentifies new opportunities and assists in development and execution of capture planProactively recognize issues, initiate action, assist in problem solving and evaluate results on major issuesLeadership:Promote positive relations between departments and with partners, customers, vendors,
and distributorsRecommend and administer policies and procedures to enhance operations which support continuous improvement initiativesRecommend Eclipse Database improvements on an ongoing basis to increase efficiency throughout the companyContinuously resource new innovative solutions for corporate competitivenessAdhere to the Eclipse Project Operating PolicyProject Execution:Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a team environment and actively participate in group meetings safelyComplete other duties and projects as assignedEnsure scheduled milestones are metNotify the appropriate departments if milestones are not metMaintain positive corporate citizen role in support of the Eclipse corporate VisionEnsure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Eclipse Automation Inc. Conduct CodeFoster the development of a culture reflective of the core values of the businessTravel:Expectation of travel to vendor/supplier/customer locations is less than 10% of time, however, may be exceeded in exceptional circumstances to meet project needsWhat We're Looking For:Education:Has successfully completed a University Degree or College Diploma in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent experience.Preference will be given to candidates holding an Ontario P.Eng license or a License Engineering Technologist (LET)Formal project management training through PMI or equivalent, PMP is an asset.Experience:5+ years as a Project Manager in the field of Nuclear Field is an asset10+ years sector specific experience in a technical leadership capacity, with demonstrated success in large, high-profile projects #J-18808-Ljbffr
