Senior Procurement Analyst – Vendor Management (Maternity Leave Cover) $30 – $35 per hour Hybrid (3-4 days per week in office, downtown Toronto) Our client, a leading Canadian financial institution, is recruiting for a Senior Procurement Analyst. This is a maternity leave coverage contract through to January 2027, providing critical operational and financial support within the Vendor Management function. This position is focused on the administration and performance tracking of vendor relationships rather than contract negotiation. You will act as the operational backbone of the team, ensuring that invoices are reconciled, budgets are tracked, and vendor performance is documented with precision. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented skilled who enjoys "owning the data" and supporting high-level stakeholder meetings. Key Responsibilities Administration & Reconciliation: Lead the end-to-end processing of vendor invoices, performing rigorous reconciliations to ensure billing accuracy and alignment with service delivery. Spend Analysis & Budget Tracking: Maintain and update the departmental spend tracker. You will compare actual expenditures against budgets, identifying variances and preparing monthly presentations for leadership. Vendor Performance Management: Manage the administration of vendor scorecards, ensuring performance data is collected, organized, and ready for quarterly reviews. Project Coordination & Triaging: Participate in ad hoc project meetings as the primary note-taker and coordinator.



You will track progress, document next steps, and identify when the broader Vendor Management team needs to be engaged. Reporting Excellence: Utilize Excel and PowerPoint to transform complex spend data into clear, professional reports that reflect the business’s financial health and vendor status. About You Excel & PowerPoint Power-User: You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis) and can build professional decks in PowerPoint that tell a story with data. Detail-Oriented Orchestrator: You take pride in accuracy. Whether it’s a decimal point on an invoice or a deadline in a meeting minute, you ensure nothing falls through the cracks. Independent & Proactive: While you will work closely with the Vendor Management Lead, you are comfortable managing your own workload and prioritizing multiple tasks effectively. Professional Communicator: You can summarize financial data for business heads in plain English and maintain a high standard of professional documentation.
