The Stratus Imaging Archive is a foundational component of our Enterprise Imaging strategy, enabling secure, scalable, and interoperable management of medical imaging data across the enterprise.The Senior Engineering Manager will lead engineering teams building and evolving the Stratus Imaging Archive product and play a critical role in advancing our cloud-native Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) and Enterprise Imaging strategy. This role is accountable for engineering execution, people leadership, customer engagement, and cross-organizational collaboration to deliver reliable, high-quality imaging solutions at scale.Primary Responsibilities:Lead multiple software engineering teams responsible for the Stratus Imaging Archive platformOwn delivery execution and planning, ensuring clear commitments, dependency management, and predictable outcomesIdentify and mitigate delivery risk early, driving transparency and corrective actionEnsure operational readiness at release, including reliability, scalability, observability, and support handoffDrive adoption of AI across the SDLC to improve engineering velocity, quality, testing effectiveness, and delivery predictabilityCollaborate with Architect and Product to deliver AI within product capabilities, translating opportunities into scalable, reliable,



customer-facing valueDrive product innovation in close collaboration with Product, advancing new capabilities that strengthen the Stratus Imaging Archive platformLead continuous improvement across engineering practices and delivery to improve quality, efficiency, and operational outcomesServe as the engineering representative for the product during customer escalations, providing leadership and cross-team coordinationPartner closely with Architecture, Infrastructure, Quality Engineering, Security, Operations, and development partners (e.G. Google) to deliver enterprise-grade solutionsDevelop and grow engineering leaders and teams through explicit expectations, coaching, and talent developmentExperience scaling teams through recruiting, onboarding, and staff augmentationYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.Required Qualifications:Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience10+ years of experience in software engineering3+ years of experience in software engineering management roleExperience leading multi-team engineering organizations of 20+ engineers, either directly or through engineering leads/managersExperience leading teams through the full product lifecycle - from building cloud-native customer-facing software to operating it at enterprise scaleExperience in cloud-native design, principles, and best practicesExperience designing, building, and operating large scale data platforms or data intensive distributed systemsExperience in GCP (AWS/Azure acceptable)Experience directly managing software engineers, including hiring, performance management,



and career developmentProven ability to own and lead engineering escalations with customers, from triage through resolutionDemonstrated understanding of the business domain, customer workflows, with the ability to translate domain knowledge into engineering and product decisionsProven solid influencing, persuasion, and negotiation skills, including conflict resolutionDemonstrated experience balancing customer commitments, product roadmap priorities, operational reliability, and technical modernizationDemonstrated commitment to building a stronger organization - investing in hiring, mentorship, engineering culture, and continuous improvement beyond immediate project needsPreferred Qualifications:Proven experience leading multiple teams and/or managers in complex, regulated environments or medical devicesSolid domain experience in Enterprise Imaging, Radiology workflows, or Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) platformsExperience driving AI adoption within engineering teams to improve productivity, code quality, or delivery velocityKnowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including DICOM, HL7, and FHIRCanada Residents Only: The salary range for Canada residents is $108,500 to $225,200 annually.
