This role will create new memberships and assist with commercial lending, cash management, reporting, and ongoing monitoring and maintenance of memberships, accounts, and regulatory requirements.RoleOperationsOpen all Commercial Memberships for the Business Banking Group including creation - from initial member contact to document preparation and execution with the memberKeep contact diary system up to date with relevant follow up action for Commercial MembersRegular communication with Risk Department to ensure we are compliant with all new regulationsUncover, identify, and process sales opportunities primarily with Commercial Members, which may include non FSRA reporting, commercial lending and deposit productsActively solicit, follow up and provide advice on products and services to Commercial Members to increase share of wallet and ensure we are their primary financial institution of choice. Including processing third party referrals for ADP, MDB-Online banking, Global Payments and any other acquired service providersDirect interaction with our high value members, both virtually and in person, will be required to provide the highest service levelComplete all Collabria VISA applications for all Commercial MembersFacilitate paperwork and workflows for onboarding new services for new and existing Commercial members including MDB, PaymentStreamBecome familiar with the products, services, and people for third party vendors including: Collabria, C1, XE Foreign Exchange, ADP, Global Payments,



and schedule recurring update callsWork primarily with Commercial Members to resolve inquiries and/or concernsMaintain ongoing activity plan to assist prioritizing sales, service, and operational workKey on new loans, new investments and accounts, to the banking system, as well as input all changes as requiredAssist with managing various portfolio reporting required for the Business Banking Group, including but not limited to: Loan delinquency, loan maturity, annual reviewsAssist in preparing Funding Requests for new loans as well as draw requests for construction loans and lead the funding process for BBGRegular communication with the entire leadership group in BBG will be imperative to ensuring priorities are met, as our team is active and high achievingEnsure processes and standards meet and exceed requirements set out by legislation and regulatorsManage applicable large depositor maturity schedulesPrepare statements/bank confirmations as scheduled and as requestedFacilitate wires and other fund transfers for Commercial MembersUpdate membership changes such as signors as neededStay in regular communication with other internal departments to facilitate activities to support Business Banking Group & Commercial members as needed, such as IMS (term department, wires, payment stream etc.)Monitor Bank of Canada changes and rate environment as it pertains to high value members,



legal trust accounts etc.Understand estates and legal trusts administrativelyMaintain a list of special interest bearing treasury accounts for appropriate spreadsSupport the team of BBG Account Managers with general administrative support as required.Perform other duties as assignedConsider health & safety as a primary concern to ensure the overall well-being of the team and membersRequired Skills And QualificationsCompletion of Grade 12 or equivalent and some post-secondary education in Commerce, Business Administration or Economics3 - 5 years Commercial Services/ Credit Union/other Financial Institution experienceGood working knowledge of business banking products and servicesExperience with commercial lending procedure and processesExperience in a compliance and regulatory environment is an assetCompetent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Temenos Banking System and Criterion or equivalent banking and lending platforms is requiredMust have superior interpersonal and communication skillsInherently demonstrate a high level of integrity and trustworthinessMust have ability to work well with minimum supervisionAbility to effectively problem solve to find creative and beneficial solutionsBe flexible and adaptable to changing prioritiesAbility to share knowledge and best practicesMust be capable of working as a team player, willing to assist other staff of any locationMust have a positive attitude and willing to go above and beyondMaintain current knowledge of the Financial Service Industry and trendsBe able to take action in difficult and challenging situations and deal with uncertaintyAbility to identify and mitigate enterprise risk factors and ensure compliance with applicable regulations, legislation and FirstOntario policies and proceduresComfort in dealing with high value accounts and individualsOur inclusive work environment welcomes diversity and supports accessibility.
