Duties
Greet customers warmly and provide excellent service during checkout, answering questions and assisting with product inquiries
Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges efficiently
Handle cash, credit/debit cards, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
Maintain organized cashier stations and ensure all merchandise is properly scanned and bagged
Support merchandising efforts by restocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability
Uphold store policies on cleanliness, safety,
and security protocols to protect both customers and staff
Upsell relevant products or promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
Requirements
Previous cashiering or retail sales experience preferred but not required; training will be provided
Solid communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and balancing cash drawers at shift end
Excellent organizational skills to manage time effectively during busy periods
Ability to stand for extended periods, walk throughout the store, and lift moderate loads when necessary
Demonstrated customer service orientation with a friendly, approachable demeanor
Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic merchandising practices is advantageous
