Job Summary:
Capocaccia Trattoria is seeking an experienced, passionate, and service-driven Full-Time Assistant Server to join our dynamic front-of-house team. As a key part of our guest experience, you will be responsible for providing exceptional hospitality in a fast-paced environment while promoting Italian cuisine and fine wine. This role reports directly to the Restaurant Manager.

Responsibilities:
Greet and seat guests in a warm and welcoming manner
Serve meals and alcoholic beverages in accordance with provincial regulations
Maintain table cleanliness, including busing and resetting tables
Handle daily cash and payment transactions accurately
Answer phone inquiries professionally and promptly
Maintain knowledge of all menu items, ingredients, and specials
Uphold a clean, organized, and professional workspace
Provide recommendations and upsell when appropriate to enhance guest satisfaction
Ensure all guests leave with a memorable and positive experience

Qualifications:
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills




Ability to multitask, stay organized, and remain calm under pressure
High level of product knowledge, especially in food and wine
Knowledge of Italian cuisine and wines is considered a robust asset
Skilled appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic
Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Smart Serve certification (required)
