Position: Senior Salesforce Technical Architect (Marketing Cloud)

Location: Toronto
Mode of Work: Hybrid (3 days a week)

This job posting is for an existing, active vacancy and we are looking to hire a Senior Salesforce Technical Architect with strong expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect with deep hands-on expertise in designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-grade marketing technology solutions. The role requires solid experience across Marketing Cloud architecture, personalization, integrations, and compliance, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and personalized customer engagement solutions.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead end-to-end architecture and design for Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations in enterprise environments
Design scalable data models using Contact Builder, Data Extensions, and multi-BU configurations
Develop complex AMPscript and SSJS for personalization, transactional messaging, and dynamic content
Build and manage Cloud Pages, preference centers, and subscription management solutions




Architect and manage Journey Builder workflows and Automation Studio processes
Implement integrations with Salesforce CRM, data platforms, and external systems via APIs and SFTP
Ensure governance, compliance, and security standards (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, etc.)
Optimize email deliverability, sender authentication, and campaign performance
Mentor team members and drive architectural best practices and standards

Qualifications & Skills :
10+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (ExactTarget)
Solid expertise in AMPscript, SSJS, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL
Hands-on experience with Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder
Proven experience with Salesforce CRM integrations and external system connectivity
Robust understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance frameworks
Experience working in financial services or regulated industries
Salesforce certifications (Marketing Cloud Consultant/Developer, CTA, or Architect) preferred
Familiarity with tools like Data Cloud, MuleSoft, Datorama, or Einstein AI is a plus
