Qualifications – Ontario Healthcare Facility
Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
Minimum 3 years of recent Canadian Obstetrics nursing experience (required)
Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Current FHS (Fetal Health Surveillance) certification
Current ACLS certification
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: 3-month assignment with possibility of extension
Must be willing and able to work in both Obstetrics and Medical/Surgical units
Accommodations: Provided

Hours: Full-time

Responsibilities:
Registered Nurses are required to adhere to the scope of practice as defined by the College of Nurses of Ontario. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Obstetrics and Medical/Surgical units
Assess, monitor, and support mothers and newborns throughout the antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods
Administer medications, perform nursing interventions, and monitor patient responses while collaborating with the interdisciplinary healthcare team
Maintain accurate patient documentation and ensure continuity of care across both clinical areas
Adhere to professional standards, infection prevention protocols,



and patient safety guidelines while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care

Note: Duties may vary slightly based on facility and shift, with specific guidance provided during site orientation.

Experience:
3 years of relevant Canadian Obstetrics nursing experience (required)
Experience providing care in both Obstetrics and Medical/Surgical settings is preferred
Familiarity with Meditech is an asset
Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented team environment
Solid clinical judgment and adaptability in both Obstetrics and Medical/Surgical settings

Skills:
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a agile clinical workplace
Strong attention to detail for accurate documentation, medication administration, and maternal/newborn care
Compassion and empathy when supporting patients and their families
