Duties
Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight and packages across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
Load and unload freight using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring secure handling of cargo
Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs; perform basic automotive repairs when necessary to maintain optimal performance
Manage freight documentation accurately, including delivery logs, shipment manifests, and inspection reports
Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses, delays, or issues encountered during routes




Conduct safety checks before and after trips; report any vehicle malfunctions or safety concerns promptly
Assist in warehouse operations by preparing freight for transport and ensuring proper storage of incoming shipments

Experience
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type assigned
Hands-on experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment in a logistics or warehouse setting
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols for transporting goods
Basic automotive repair skills to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues on the road or at the facility
Familiarity with delivery documentation, route planning, and GPS navigation tools
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various environments
Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and provide excellent customer service
