As a growing business, they are seeking a Class 1 Driver to support their operations, ensuring efficient and safe transportation of materials across Greater Victoria, the Cowichan Valley, and the Gulf Islands.

Responsibilities
Operate end dumps and walking floor trucks to transport materials to and from assigned locations across southern-mid Vancouver Island.
Follow assigned routes efficiently while ensuring timely deliveries and compliance with safety regulations.
Use dispatching software on a mobile device to manage route assignments, track deliveries, and input real-time data.
Adhere to all safety protocols, WCB regulations, and maintain a clean driving record.
Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe and reliable operation.
Report any mechanical issues or maintenance needs to the Fleet, Transportation, and Logistics Manager promptly.
Maintain accurate logs and documentation as required by company and regulatory standards.

Qualifications
Valid Class 1 driver’s license with manual transmission training.
Experience with 53-foot trailers an asset.
Familiarity with dispatching software and mobile devices for route management.
A clean and safe driving record.
Solid teamwork and communication skills.
Able to sit for long drives and perform occasional heavy lifting.
Availability to work Saturdays, with flexibility for weekday time off.
