Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Industrial Cargo Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations. This role requires a robust commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, D license, and the ability to manage freight effectively. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of service.
Responsibilities
Class D license at minimum
Operate commercial trucks to transport freight to designated locations.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours driven and mileage.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while on the road.
Utilize forklift equipment when necessary for loading and unloading freight.
Perform basic automotive repairs as needed to ensure vehicle readiness.
Qualifications
Must have a clean driving record
Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid D driver's license at minimum
Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is preferred.
Experience in freight handling and logistics is an advantage.
Skills in automotive repair are a plus, enabling quick fixes during transit.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while on the road.
