Job Summary

Tiny Hearts Childcare Centre is seeking a caring, dependable, and enthusiastic Early Childhood Assistant (ECA) to join our supportive and inclusive team. The successful candidate will assist educators in creating a warm, engaging, and nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and valued.

This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with children, are eager to learn, and value teamwork in a play-based childcare setting.

Key Responsibilities
Support educators in implementing age-appropriate, play-based programming
Assist in creating and maintaining a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom setting
Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
Assist with daily routines, transitions, meals, and rest periods
Help maintain a clean, organized, and engaging learning environment
Communicate respectfully with families and team members as required




Follow all centre policies, health and safety procedures, and licensing requirements

Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older
Experience working with children is an asset but not required
Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
Patient, reliable, and nurturing approach when working with children
Ability to take direction and work collaboratively with educators
Valid First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Vulnerable Sector Check (required)

Education

Secondary School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required
