Responsibilities
Assist with the daily handling, collecting, sorting, setting and transfer of eggs
Assist in hatching and vaccinating chicks manually or with the help of equipment
Assist in delivering chicks to the farms
Maintain cleanliness and disinfection of hatchery tools and equipment.
Support with heavy lifting tasks such as lifting and moving the trays and boxes full of eggs or supplies to ensure smooth workflow
Operate hatchery machinery safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols
Monitor and report any abnormalities or issues to supervisors promptly
Follow strict biosecurity procedures to prevent disease transmission and ensure healthy stock
Skills
Willing to work early hours and weekends.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively in a physically demanding work workplace
Physical able to stand,
bend and lift for long periods throughout shifts
Robust attention to detail for monitoring hatching health and maintaining accurate records
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
Demonstrated ability to consistently arrive on time, prepared to begin work at the start of the scheduled shift
Flexible mindset and openness to receiving, integrating, and providing constructive feedback within a team structure
Solid willingness to learn and follow instructions
Calm and composed under pressure, with a constructive attitude toward daily problem-solving
Training will be provided.
