Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Gundrill Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess robust mechanical knowledge and experience with machining. This role involves operating, programming, and maintaining precision equipment to produce high-quality components. Candidates with experience in CAD, blueprint reading, and lean manufacturing principles will excel in this position. The Gundrill Operator will play a vital role in ensuring efficient production processes while adhering to safety and quality standards.
Duties
Operate machinery such as Gundrill, CNC milling machines, utilizing Heidenhain controls when applicable
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate manufacturing
Program CNC machines using CNC programming languages to set up machining operations
Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers to verify dimensions and quality of machined parts
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues using hand tools and power tools
Assist with assembly processes when required,
ensuring components meet specifications
Follow lean manufacturing practices to optimize workflow and reduce waste
Use forklift and other material handling equipment for moving raw materials and finished products as needed
Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with safety standards
Experience
Minimum 5 years experience operating Gundrill and CNC machinery
Mechanical knowledge of machining processes, tooling, and equipment maintenance
Familiarity with Heidenhain controls, CNC programming, and blueprint reading
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding, calipers, and other precision measurement devices
Knowledge of manufacturing best practices including lean manufacturing principles and safety protocols

Pay: $26.00-$30.00 per hour
