We are currently recruiting for a reliable Personal Support Worker to support a male employer with Parkinson's with all activities of daily living.

The employers has a keen sense of humour, a excellent smile and enjoys walks, music, film, football, history and socializing.

Location:
Gabriola (Near Descanso Bay Regional Park)

Shifts & Hours of Work:
Monday - Wednesday 8:00am-4:00pm
Thursday 4:00pm-7:00pm
Friday - Sunday 8:00am-4:00pm

Compensation:
$28 per hour

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):
Daily personal care such as showering, toileting, hygiene, shaving, grooming, dressing with support stockings
Administering medications (pills), eyedrops and lidocaine patches when needed
Cueing and direction with daily physical and speech exercises
Taking and recording blood pressure while sitting and standing
Guidance and assistance with transferring when needed
Meal preparation, preparing snacks, salads, sandwiches
Light housekeeping

Required Qualifications:
Caregiving experience is preferred
Experience with Parkinson's is required
Driver’s License (Class 5)



and a reliable vehicle for ease of transit - required
Physically fit to assist employer
