We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and independent Arena Operator to join our team. If you take pride in maintaining high-quality ice surfaces and enjoy hands-on work in a dynamic workplace, this role may be a great fit for you.

Olympia ice resurfacing experience is considered an asset, and a minimum of Arena Level 1 Certification is required.

WHMIS and First Aid training are preferred but not mandatory.

This is a highly autonomous position ideal for a motivated self-starter. You will often work independently and must demonstrate excellent punctuality, strong time-management skills, and the ability to prioritize ice rentals, tasks, and facility responsibilities.

A valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver’s license is required.

Key Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, your duties include, but are not limited to:
Operating the Olympia ice resurfacer to maintain a high-quality ice surface.
Performing janitorial tasks: sweeping, mopping, washroom/shower cleaning, garbage removal, floor scrubbing, recycling, and general facility upkeep.




Completing minor building maintenance and reporting repair needs.
Providing excellent customer service while liaising with renters and patrons regarding facility use and concerns.
Documenting incidents, discrepancies, and operational issues for management.
Conducting inspections of the ammonia refrigeration plant.
Carrying out basic groundskeeping duties such as snow removal and litter cleanup.
Ensuring building security, including perimeter checks, door inspections, and opening/closing procedures.
Performing other related duties as assigned.

A Vulnerable Sector Check is required for this position.

Job Types: Part time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
