We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. Duties
Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments, to promote optimal oral health.
Take and develop digital radiographs (X-rays), ensuring accuracy and patient comfort.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary recommendations.
Assist with orthodontic procedures and provide support for pediatric patients to ensure gentle, effective care.
Maintain detailed patient records using dental software, Tracker and documenting treatments and observations clearly.
Support the dental team with assisting during procedures, sterilizing instruments, and managing patient flow.
Communicate effectively with patients to ensure understanding and comfort throughout their visit.
Experience
Valid license as a Registered Dental Hygienist in accordance with state or provincial regulations.
Prior experience working in a fast-paced dental office environment is highly desirable.
Proficiency with dental practice management software Tracker is considered an asset
Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry and oral health.
Experience providing care in orthodontics or pediatrics is a plus.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect positively with diverse patient populations.
