Working a FIFO rotation on an even time roster.Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the Jumbo Operator is responsible for providing efficient high-speed development using a multi-boom jumbo following specific drill/blast designed patterns while meeting safety standards, targets and deadlines to maximize productivity and profitability.Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):Follow survey plans to determine location, spacing, depth and angle of holesAssess ground conditions at the work area, sounding, scaling and washing-down faceWork as part of a team with engineers, geologists, surveyors, operations and maintenanceBoring of development rounds to desired profile and in accordance with the mine's safety act and regulationsInstallation of ground support in accordance with ground control management planEnsure that work quality is high and that all controls are used and adhered toEnsure that equipment is used in accordance with training providedEnsure that the equipment used is always maintained in good operating conditionDocument reports detailing work performed, problems diagnosed, prechecks on all equipment and machinery used in the day and all other required shift paperworkImmediately report problems/failures that may impact the team, or the company,



to your Shift SupervisorMaintain and demonstrate a professional and courteous relationship with employees, subcontractors, the client and all other personnelPractice good general housekeeping in the work area and equipmentMaintain a valid Driver's License; manual transmission experiences an assetUnderstand and comply with all PPE requirements in work areasDemonstrate commitment to all mine site safety rules, procedures and regulations, while ensuring the safety of othersAssist with other aspects of the operation such as mine services and mucking, when requiredOther duties may be assigned by your supervisor, as requiredSkills and Experience:Minimum High School Diploma or equivalencyPreferred; 10-15 years' experiencein underground hard rock miningDemonstrated experience in a Jumbo Operator role, preference to those currently operating in a frontline operator capacityCompetent in bolt, mesh and boring with a twin boom split feed jumboThe ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing, cross-cultural environment with high degree of professionalism and self-motivation is essentialProven ability to recognize and follow verbal and written instructionsAble to effectively prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are metWork ConditionsAbility to do shift camp work on a rotational basis (dayshift/nightshift), on an even time roster with a minimum of 12-hour days,
