H 2 O is seeking an experienced Water Filtration Plant Supervisor to lead and oversee various projects within our organization. The ideal candidate will be a highly organized individual with excellent leadership and communication skills. The Water Filtration Plant Supervisor will be responsible for planning, executing of work and teams in Central Interior BC (Wells) . The candidate will be required to ensuring that commitments and request from the client are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. CONDITIONS Overall remuneration including: Group insurance plan; Bonus; RRSP; Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely; Vacation and sick days. THE DAY-TO-DAY Reporting to the Operations Lead and Project Manager, the Water Filtration Plant Supervisor will be responsible for: Identify and document potential environmental and safety problems; Investigate reported potential environmental and safety problems; Recommend measures to improve productivity; Resolve work problems,
provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality; Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers; Provide information for maintenance plans to ensure that maintenance and production objectives are met; Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies; Oversee safetyof operations; Set up machines and equipment. SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES DESIRED Professional: A minimum of Level 3 in Water & Wastewater Treatment disciplines required; Specialized environmental skills and knowledge; Experience operating and maintaining Water and Wastewater Treatment Plants and related equipment required; Must be versatile and demonstrate a dedication to the position and to public services; Computer literate with ability to use Microsoft Word, and Excel; (CMMS programs) Valid Driver’s License required; Must be able to perform on-call services or operational support for emergency/short staffing conditions; Excellent and professional oral and written communication skills; Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Walking & Standing: 4-8 hr/day; Bending & Reaching: 4-8 hr/day; Pushing & pulling: 4-8 hr/day; Driving 4-6 hr/day; Physical Effort: does not lift weights more than 50 lbs; Environmental Stress: busy atmosphere, working inside and outside. Work Environment: Work is performed indoors and outdoors in often in harsh weather conditions.
