Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly part time Barista to join our team in the food industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service and a passion for providing exceptional service to our customers. This role involves assisting customers with their orders, ensuring a positive dining experience, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide a warm, welcoming experience by greeting customers and assisting with their orders.
Share knowledge of menu items, specials, and recommendations to enhance the customer experience.
Operate the POS system efficiently while accurately handling cash and card transactions in line with company procedures.
Prepare coffee, beverages, and food items consistently according to recipes and food safety standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following all health and safety regulations.
Manage time effectively to deliver prompt, high-quality service during peak periods.
Respond to customer questions, concerns, or complaints with professionalism and care.
Work collaboratively with fellow team members to ensure smooth and efficient café operations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, including roles such as barista or server.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash effectively.
Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work as part of a team while also being self-motivated when necessary.
