Lawrence Psychiatric Center - Massena Wellness Center is recruiting a Nurse Practitioner Psychiatry to provide patient-centered and recovery-oriented behavioral health services to individuals with mental illness.

Candidates from outside or within State Service can apply.

As Nurse Practitioner Psychiatry, you will utilize a range of psychosocial interventions and therapy methods including: Providing psychiatric assessments, crisis intervention, treatments, and medication management.

Establishing individual goals and treatment objectives.

Prescribing medications and treatments, monitoring impact, and modifying as needed.

Maintaining medical records and documentation.





Minimum Qualifications Candidates from outside or within State Service may be considered for hire under the Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement - Statewide (NY HELPS) program as a Nurse Practitioner Psychiatry if they have certification and current registration as a Nurse Practitioner in the Psychiatry specialty practice area by the Current York State Education Department. OR Candidates from within State Service can be considered for a competitive class appointment if they have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service in a title eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Preferred qualifications of one year experience in Nurse Practitioner in a Psychiatric Setting.
