Johnson Industries Ltd designs and manufactures a range of products in house including hydraulic, pneumatic, spring-set or manually applied caliper disc brakes and brake systems for use on hoists, conveyors, propulsion systems and other rotating equipment.
What skills are required:
Have the ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and be able to fabricate and understanding welding symbols/procedures
Able to operate M.I.G welder, mostly welding mild steel/stainless steel, torch, air arc gouger, plasma cutter and grinder
Able to operate forklift and overhead hoist
Level C ticket is a minimum
CWB ticket an asset
CWB, Level B ticket is a plus
Able to fabricate is a plus
To work indoor in a machine shop setting
The right candidate will also be taught how to run a waterjet cutting machine and some manual machines.
Wage rate will be based on experience.
