Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Class 1A Long Haul Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating heavy-duty commercial vehicles over long distances, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of freight across various locations. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of commercial driving regulations, vehicle maintenance, and freight handling, with a commitment to safety and efficiency. Duties
Safely operate Class 1A heavy-duty trucks for long-distance freight deliveries across regional and national routes
Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations
Perform basic automotive repairs or troubleshooting to maintain vehicle operability during trips
Manage freight documentation, including bills of lading, delivery receipts, and logs accurately and efficiently




Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during transit
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues encountered

Experience
Valid Class 1A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
Prior experience in commercial driving, especially long-haul routes preferred
Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as forklifts for loading/unloading freight
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety standards in logistics operations
Basic automotive repair skills beneficial for maintaining vehicle performance during trips
Ability to operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently in various conditions

Pay: $28.83-$38.90 per hour
